How do I buy a Russell's gift certificate?

You can buy a gift certificate in any of these ways:

  1. Online, in several denominations (to get one certificate in a larger amount than shown, order multiple certificates for one person; we will sum them together)
  2. By telephone, in any amount: please call 508-358-2283 during business hours.
  3. In the store.

Specify whether we should:

  1. Mail the certificate to you, in an outer envelope; you can add a written message to the card and use the inner envelope.
  2. Mail the certificate directly to the recipient (with, optionally, a hand-written message on the card).

Sorry; we cannot hold a certificate for pick-up in the store.

Does Russell's make deliveries?

Yes; we deliver in Boston, Cambridge, and Metrowest. Deliveries are made on Tuesdays. Please call our store to get the delivery fee for your town.


When does your bird seed sale begin?

Does Russell's offer a senior citizen discount?

Yes; on Wednesdays, senior citizens (65 and older) can receive a 10% discount on regular-priced items. No other discounts can be applied at the same time. Before your items are rung up, tell the cashier that you qualify for the discount.


Does Russell's offer a landscaper's discount?

Yes; Russell's offers a 15% discount to qualified professional landscapers and interior designers who register with us. Please call or come in before you purchase to complete the application process. We require appropriate business documentation: your company Tax ID or your Social Security number, and one of the following:

  1. A cancelled check from your business
  2. A sheet of your company letterhead
  3. A company invoice
An email address is optional; we periodically offer sales especially for our registered landscapers.

We can mail, email, or fax the application form to you. Please provide a fax number or postal address to which we can send the form.

We typically process completed landscaper applications in three to five business days.


Does Russell's offer discounts for affiliate memberships?

Yes;, we offer affiliate discounts to members of these organizations:

  1. The Arnold Arboretum
  2. The Massachusetts Horticultural Society
  3. The New England Wild Flower Society
  4. Tower Hill Botanic Garden
  5. WBUR
  6. WGBH
When you present your qualifying card, and your purchase is $25. or more, you receive a 10% discount off your purchase.

The affiliate discount cannot be combined with other discounts, sales, or custom design work. You must present the card at the time of purchase.


Something seems to be eating my plant. Can you identify the pest and tell me how to treat it?

To let us accurately identify a pest, disease, or other plant problem, please bring in a sample of the damaged plant or captured insect to Russell's. Our trained horticulturists will do their best to identify the problem and recommend treatment.


Which plants are in bloom now at Russell's?

Russell's offers a large selection of flowering indoor plants as well as blooming trees, shrubs, bulbs, annuals, and perennials. For a current list of what is available, please send an email or call us.
